Naughty Jack-Jack made me laugh so hard in a super fraction-of-a-second scene when he tapped his Dad who was falling asleep as he was reading to the little one, who was so comfortably-perched and fully-attentive on his tired shoulder. It was such a rapid tap I had to take a photo of it above. As with anything funny, it's all about comedic timing. Glad I caught it -- too funny to miss. It was a tap worthy of a mafioso. His poor, overworked Dad woke up right away and read where he left off. The little slave-driver! You can watch that hilarious tap on the first 20 seconds of this video:
What stands out most in the "Incredibles 2" film are these people, voices, and a creature: Baby Jack-Jack Mr. Incredible Edna Mode Brad Bird (director and Edna Mode's voice) Eli Fucile (Jack-Jack's voice) Nicholas Bird (Monster Jack-Jack's voice) Tony Fucile (Pixar animator and Eli's dad) Raccoon These characters made the film so enjoyable and memorable for me. It was pure dynamite when Auntie Edna finally warmed up to little Jack-Jack. She practically shoved Mr. Incredible out the door when she saw what Jack-Jack was capable of.
Here's another video of their encounter as she baby-sat him for the night and also created a cool outfit to shoulder his 17 powers which she observed along the way.
He's just a baby. A very, very cute baby with the engaging smile and delicious laughter. He's also an adorable one-year-old who's just being himself -- curious about everything, adores his parents, loves cookies, likes Auntie Edna who created his suit, dislikes mean creatures and discovers his many powers along the way. I like him so much I peppered my room with 3 out of 4 photos on this blog post. I especially love his bond with his Dad when Mom was called to save the super hero world, and Dad did all the baby-sitting. You would have identified with Dad's exhaustion at having to care for three kids.
But nothing compared to how exhausted and yet delighted he was with this little one who started exhibiting 17 powers. So I fell in love with this glorious, giggling, gurgling tyke of a potential savior of the world. Imagine the fact his folks have only got one power each and this baby's got 17 -- maybe more. And because I do a lot of spiritual research, something amazing clicked inside my heart and brain when I first saw this super baby the other day. All these you will know in the next posts, for this baby is "symbolic" in my heart. Jack-Jack's time has come inside my heart and into your world. I love how he loves his Dad.
And how he is tickled pink by his Dad's initial confusion.
Listen to this child's laughter and you, too, will be beholden. Have I lost it? Maybe. Deliciously. Even a rock will be moved. How can't you? You see, you have to lose your brain in order to retrieve your heart. I just did. Welcome Jack-Jack into your lives and I promise you, you won't ever be the same again. Same is boring. Jack-Jack is exciting and exhilarating. Welcome LIFE into your life!
Poor, tired Dad gives the little one a cookie and watch how he gobbles it with gusto. This little one reminds me so much of myself. Cookie pacifier works. And when he doesn't get his cookie, he turns into a raging purple monster with matching flames.
It's just too bad a raccoon looks like a burglar to baby Jack-Jack. That's the thing about babies, it's all first impression. What they see is what the other one gets. Oh my. So, raccoon gets a whipping, even as he gives Jack-Jack some whipping. Which reveals more of his powers to us viewers. Guess who comes out whole in the end? Hehehe. More gurgling laughter and tongue-lashing as raccoon scoots away. I could watch this kid forever.
How can anyone not fall in love with that sweet, innocent, happy face? I learned the creators made sure he still had a "baby" face even as he was raging mad when someone or something crossed him and he'd erupt into a purple monster with matching flames. Innocence is such a rarity these days. Only babies can really exhibit that as they have not been "adult"erated yet. As we get older, our faces take on the energy and heaviness of the world. I'll take Jack-Jack's mien and face anytime. He is such a joy to behold. And, yes, that delicious laughter! My heart is pleased.
Watch how his Auntie Edna creates a cool outfit for Jack-Jack on the video above. She studies his powers and creates a tailor-made outfit for his tiny body. My soul got tickled by how he also twirls like a fashion model before the two minutes is over on this video. What a riot hahahaha. And when she calls him a "god", he gets all tickled but is brought back down to earth when he sees a red button flickering on the wall, signalling his Dad is around. He becomes a baby once again. Edna is stern with others but she melts before this tiny person. So did I.
It was the laughter that did it. A deep, gurgling laughter that stemmed from his soul, from being so tickled about his dad and at discovering his many powers. And that joy and innocence. Being so cute and natural -- just like babies normally are. I saw him on cable yesterday, even as the film was shown last year, but I was hooked. That laughter tickled my being and opened my heart. I was not five years old anymore. I was a baby, like Jack-Jack. My heart has always been delighted by many things. I laugh easily. I am tickled by many things. It's hard to keep a straight face when your heart's dancing. The creators of Jack-Jack made him so cute and appealing, innocent and yet naughty. I listen to his voice as I write this and I am tickled plenty. I can listen to that gurgling laughter all day long. It's the kind that's so pure, bubbly, and delighted -- so filled with Spirit. His scenes on "Incredibles 2" were all I longed for. If it's possible to fall in love with a baby toon then I'm hopelessly in love. I'm tickled with that part of me that's Jack-Jack -- a deep, forgotten part I didn't even know existed until the triggers were set on 14 June 2019 from another baby image that got me writing about the soul's goal. Jack-Jack came into the picture so I created this blog to show my appreciation for Jack-Jack and his animation creators. So I know what's gonna happen here. I'll be writing about Jack-Jack and all of his beautiful traits and sounds. For now, enjoy Jack-Jack as much as I do. He's a blessing in my life. And about his voice -- I learned it's from another 10-month-old baby boy. Click this link to know more about that. God bless the genius creators of "Incredibles 2". They helped take my heart and work to the next level. And all because of Jack-Jack's joy and laughter. Amazing things happen when people get creative and share their talents. I'm perpetually grateful to everything and everyone. Everything finally clicked.
